In 2018, community college football in Arizona came to an end. Within months, every program in the state was gone — and with them, opportunities for more than 750 student-athletes and an estimated $8 million a year in four-year scholarships.
A group of Arizona coaches refused to let that be the final word. In fall 2019, the HJCAC kicked off with five teams, and junior college football was back in Arizona.
